... Dense fog advisory in effect from 2 am to 8 am CDT Monday...

The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a dense fog
advisory... which is in effect from 2 am to 8 am CDT Monday.

* Visibility... as low as 100 feet to a quarter mile.

* Timing... developing after midnight and continuing through the
early morning commute. Visibilities improving after 8 am.

* Impacts... travel will be difficult and potentially dangerous
with very limited sight distance between vehicles and other
objects.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

fog may be dense in spots... especially in low lying areas... with
visibilities down to a quarter mile at times. Be on the lookout
for rapidly changing visibilities if you are traveling. Use low
beam headlights and allow for extra stopping time between
vehicles.
