The National Weather Service in Gaylord has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
southwestern Alpena County in northern Michigan...
Montmorency County in northern Michigan...

* until 815 PM EDT

* at 521 PM EDT... Doppler radar indicated a thunderstorm producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have
already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Atlanta... Grass Lake... Hillman... Fletcher Pond... Briley township...
Lockwood Lake... Royston... loud township and Canada creek ranch.

Additional rainfall amounts of one to two inches are possible in the
warned area.

an inch in isolated locations. Thunderstorm intensity and coverage
should decrease late this afternoon and early evening.
