... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 9 PM EST this
evening...

Hazardous weather...

* an additional 1 to 3 inches is expected this afternoon and
   early evening. Bands of snow showers will continue to spiral
   off of Lake Huron and sweep southwestward.

* Total snow accumulations by this evening will range from 3 to
   6 inches.

Impacts...

* untreated and partially treated roads will be snow-covered
   and slippery.

* Visibility may be severely reduced during times of heavier
   snow.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

* a Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow will
   cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect...

During the rest of the afternoon... the more persistent snow will
occur generally along the Interstate 75 corridor from Saginaw
through Flint and down to Pontiac. These locals may see an
additional half inch accumulation through 5 PM. The rest of the
advisory area will see mainly light snow with light
accumulations. Temperatures will remain in the 20s... so untreated
roads will be snow covered and slick.

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect through early Tuesday evening...

Weather...

* moderate to locally heavy snow will impact communities from
   Midland to Saginaw to Goodrich and Oxford.

* Snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are expected in areas
   impacted between 1230 PM and 230 PM.

* Northwest winds around 15 mph with gusts to 20 mph.

* Air temperatures will range between 28 and 30 degrees.

Impacts...

* visibilities will be near one quarter mile at times due to
   locally heavy snow. Rapid fluctuations of visibility are
   likely.

* Accumulating snow will result in slippery roads particularly
   on bridges... exit ramps... and overpasses.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

* the combination of heavy snow and cold temperatures will
   result in localized slippery conditions and variable traffic
   rates throughout the County. Motorists are urged to use
   caution and account for the variable driving conditions by
   allowing extra time.
