Watches & Warnings

Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 2:28 AM CST Feb. 10, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 am EST
/9 am CST/ this morning...

* timing... scattered snow showers through mid to late morning.

* Main impact... periods of moderate to heavy snow showers at times
will result in quick accumulations of 1/2 to locally 1 inch.
Roads will remain or become slick and snow covered... especially
secondary and untreated surfaces.

* Other impacts... wind chill values will be in the single digits
to near zero this morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Research shows that more traffic accidents occur with an inch or
less of snow... before drivers realize that traction is reduced.
Don't become a statistic... slow down and leave extra distance
between vehicles.
