... Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 9 am CST Monday...

The National Weather Service in Omaha/valley has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for blowing snow... which is in effect until 9 am
CST Monday.

* Timing... northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 45 mph will
produce areas of blowing snow tonight into Monday morning.

* Main impact... reduced visibility if traveling. Extra caution
should be exercised tonight.

* Other impacts... snow showers will add to visiibility restrictions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for blowing snow means that
visibilities will be limited due to strong winds blowing snow
around. Use caution when traveling... especially in open areas.

* timing... strong northwest winds will develop overnight and
continue through Monday afternoon.

* Winds... northwest winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 45 mph.

* Impacts... winds of this magnitude will be hazardous to
motorists... especially those with high profile vehicles. In
addition... snow showers this evening and overnight may lead to
areas of blowing snow. This may create hazardous travel
conditions in some parts of the area.

A Wind Advisory means that sustained wind speeds between 30 to
39 mph or gusts between 45 to 57 mph are expected. Winds this
