Watches & Warnings

Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 2:34 AM CST Feb. 8, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 5 PM EST /4 PM
CST/ this afternoon to 6 PM EST /5 PM CST/ Tuesday...

* timing... this evening through at least Tuesday evening.

* Main impact... periods of moderate to briefly heavy snow showers
will impact travel at times. Roads may become slick and snow
covered... especially secondary and untreated surfaces.

* Other impacts... gusty winds along with moderate snow showers may
reduce visibility at times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Research shows that more traffic accidents occur with an inch or
less of snow... before drivers realize that traction is reduced.
Don't become a statistic... slow down and leave extra distance
between vehicles.
