... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Friday morning...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* northeast Pennsylvania... including the following counties
Lackawanna... Luzerne... Pike and ... southern Wayne.

* Through Friday morning.

* Showers and isolated thunderstorms with localized heavy
rainfall. Widespread rainfall will be 1 to 2 inches but
localized amounts of 2 to 5 inches are possible.

* The flood threat will be primarily in poor drainage areas such
as urban locations. Widespread stream flooding is not expected
and no flooding is expected along the major rivers.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
