The National Weather Service in State College has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect until 10 PM EST
Thursday.

* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches.

* Timing... occasional snow showers of varying intensity will occur
this afternoon... and continue right into Thursday evening.

* Winds... west to northwest winds of 10 to 15 mph with gusts
around 25 mph will lead to areas of blowing and drifting snow.

* Impacts... untreated roads will be snow covered and hazardous.
Visibility could be greatly reduced during brief heavier
squalls... and in areas of blowing snow.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Hazardous winter weather conditions are expected or occurring.

Potter... Cameron... southeastern Elk... northwestern
Clearfield... Tioga... northwestern Lycoming and northwestern Clinton
counties...

* until 700 PM EST.

* At 600 PM EST... a narrow line of snow showers and squalls extended
from near Westfield to near Wharton to near Brockway... and moving
east at 25 mph.

This line of snow showers and squalls will be near...
Westfield around 605pm EST.
Cherry Springs State Park around 620 PM EST.
Elkland... Brandy Camp and Lyman Run State Park around 625 PM EST.
Keeneyville around 630 PM EST.


Other locations impacted by this line of snow showers and squalls
