A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 9 PM CST Sunday.
* Timing... a mixture of rain and snow will become all snow
overnight. The snow will become moderate to heavy at times late
tonight through Sunday morning... before gradually tapering off
by late Sunday afternoon.
* Accumulations... totals of 6 to 9 inches will be possible...
with the higher totals north of I-74.
* Wind... gusty north to northeast winds of up to 35 mph will cause
blowing and drifting of the snow by Sunday afternoon and
* Impacts... roadways will become snow covered and hazardous late
tonight through Sunday. Visibilities will become poor due to the
blowing and drifting of the snow... especially in open areas Sunday
afternoon and evening.
A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight...
food... and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
