Thorn Tree entries for Las Vegas reminded me of Dr. Masters' comments section.
So has anyone got interesting advice or stories about that town?

Afternoon Bogon:
Duelly registered.I'll try to get photos of each place suggested.
'Course I'll get one or two images of the "Strip" like so many others.

Dis touch screen Qwerty keyboard has a mind of it's own but I do want to get somewhat better at it. Long way from an Underwood!
Evening Ylee:
That is more or less what we hope to do. Maybe see a show or two - who is performing will likely determine the timing of our trip.

I've never been to Vegas, but my mom has; she didn't care for it one bit, but then she isn't a person to dig all the hustle and bustle and lights!

If it were me, I'd use the town as a home base for exploring the region.

Good morning janetlee:
Thanks for that information.
Tloml came home with the door prize from a work related promotion/information workshop: 1600$ to be spent on travel and accommodation while there which we have to use in the next year. We were thinking of going in early winter but have no definite plans yet.
Since I'm a terrible gambler and even worse shopper I'm depending on any advice I can get. I'm sure the gift package will be limited to certain hotel/casinos and I'm hoping it will allow us to rent a vehicle.
Red Rock Canyon is first on my list!
