The goldfish seem to like the inverted bowl. I'm guessing that the water warms more in the upside down bowl and the pressure is lower. For some reason they all congregate in one tower. Come to think so do fishermen.
Evening Ylee: We are getting lighter later for a month here then slide though our summer and start loosing daylight. We try not to schedule any travel on the long week ends here - especially no ferries or planes. I avoid the highway as well. One trucker I worked with had this to say about choosing to travel on these days: "The Goofs are out in full force!" He was not talking about "Highway Patrol". I'll go over and check the cams now

Ylee: Absolutely - in fact he was a fine raconteur and that was the good news because we worked together and lived in the same bunk house for three week stints. To get even with him I brought in my old acoustic Guitar.

HiYlee: No, I never learned to play the Hawaiian. I still have the acoustic but I don't play much anymore. We had a number of years of 'Pickin' and singin'" and I stood up with the best around here but we were nothing special - just enjoyed the sounds and the feeling of making them. I wrote mediocre lyrics to a collection of three chords and I can still chuckle when I recall them. The truck driver had no more choice than I did of his room mate and the nights off the grid were long. Once the Gen set was shut down it got really quiet. We did not record much in those days but maybe I'll dig back in the organic hard drive and see how scrambled the lyrics are. Don't hold your breath, please: seems to me some of the songs are not fit for modern consumption.

I recall writing two songs as a teenager,; they were heavily influenced by Dr. Demento's radio show! "My Pet Snot" was a blatant ripoff of "Fish Heads", and "Verkhoyansk" was chosen bcause it was one of the coldest towns in Siberia, and it sounded good!
