I'm ready for Winter to end

Friday was miserable. Cold and rainy equals freezing rain and down trees, power lines and loss of electric. Power went out around 8:45 AM on Friday and the Piedmont Electric Co-Op guys brought us back up around 7:30 PM yesterday. God bless them for the long hard days that they are putting in.

I spoke to two from Tarborough, guys were ready to go home and be with their families. I thanked them for everything they were doing.

We spent the first two nights of the power outage in the camper where it was very comfortable. If we had gone a third night we would have gone back into the house with a Kerosene heater to keep warm. The battery in the camper finally gave out.

Good thing it wasn't terribly cold at night or during the days. Saturday and Sunday saw temps in the upper 60's. Beautiful weather to lounge around and putter with yard cleaning.

Well, I hope this is the last entry this season for winter weather.
