A little about my self -

I joined weather Underground in August of 2005 right after they opened the blogging feature. I have been a weather hobbyist since the middle 60's when I lived on the west coast of Florida, north of the Tampa Bay area. I currently live in a small community in central Illinois.

I have been through numerous Hurricanes during my life time. The worse being Hurricane Camille in August 17,1969, A Cat 5, where the eye passed over the location I was at. That being Biloxi, Ms when I was in the USAF stationed at Keesler AFB.

That sunny day you were begging for.

Finally caught a break here with a day of rain & clouds.

The " Sun " does help up here .. its gloomier up here when we get 5-7 cloudy days in a week and week after week .. it really starts to drag on you this time of year .. now if we can just get some warmth into those days !!

Glad you got a little rain .. looking like you needed some and even more ..

Kinda damp here.

Nasty looking in St. Peter's Square but there's still a mob of people.

Was 43 degrees according to my Jeeps temp gauge at noon when I met my wife for lunch .. has fallen back to 36.9 now with snow flurries !!

Hi, wab. Getting some more of that H2O, I see.

Been washing clothes, pottering in the yard a bit, watching Phoebe.

Did you see the YouTube of them dumping Pip into the nest? Poor little mite. He was about starved.

Phoebe is taking good care of him and he seems happy.

I embedded the video on Dad's blog for him to watch.

By the way, did you know that beef stew and hot toddies are an almost unbeatable combination? It's true. I dare you to try it out and tell me different.

P.S. Hot buttered rum is also a viable alternative -- just don't heat the rum TOO much, and easy on the butter and spices.

Lil better down here lately where don't need rain at all, as front's passing now, rain-free, winds shifting WNW... LOL, I'm trying shift all precip up to you! Now do your part and keep sending cooler air here... seems a fair trade...
;)

Will do what I can Doc .. Looks like we received close to 6 inches of snow maybe a little more .. not going out to measure it tonight though and I always have drifting out here in the open country ..

Ylee, I could fly from Miami straight to Europe and get to Helsinki with just one stop, but Miami airport is further away, gotta take the Trirail, and airport is always awfully crowded with long waiting lines everywhere. I prefer 2 stops and fly from West Palm, which is close to my house.

I'll be soooo cold for a week, brrrrrrrrr! Glad I have my sis there with lotsa winter clothes and a warm house :) Will be wonderful to see her, been a year since last visit.

Jamie is taking care of dogs, shop, house and everything else while I'm away... except collecting doggie poops ;-)

But there will be back ups other places that could mean delays for you !!!
