How you feeling? Going down or remaining above it?
Take care :)
Sandi .. so far so good, knock on wood, still feeling good .. figure if I can get buy the next couple of days I will be ok..
Got my fingers crossed !!
Thank You!!
Hope your wife is feeling a tad better.
I notice your last comment on the prior blog included the admonishment to bring pets in from the cold. Good advice but, sadly, the ones that need to take that advice, won't.
No problems with that here. I don't think I could pry Gus out of his cozy bed inside with a crowbar!
I swear, I think he still remembers his time on the street, half starved and half frozen. Tomorrow will mark his one year anniversary of suckering this soft hearted human into taking him in.
Oh, he goes out but doesn't tend to stay long, even in nice weather. There's been a couple of chilly mornings that he indicated that he wanted out. So, I opened the door. He got to the door jamb, felt that cold air and did an immediate about face.
Who said animals were dumb? lol
Wabit - I do hope 2013 is a very happy, healthy and safe year for you and your family.
My New Years wish is for you two to get well!
We spend January 1 walking through our lives, room by room, drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched. Maybe this year, to balance the list, we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives... not looking for flaws, but for potential.

Wishing you and yours a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!
Have a great 2013!

Oh, Poor you, what a way to start a new year.
Hot water with whiskey, honey and lemon to sip on, helps the chest, the throat and the head.
LOL .. had already fixed me one just like that .. I call it a hot tottie .. and it does work on a sore throat and helps you sleep a bit better .. also greased my neck with Vicks and tied an old sock around it.. Seemed to have helped greatly .. feeling much better this evening, even being hungry ..
Vicks is a medicated rub if your wondering .. though you should have it there too ..
Same to you Jus .. yes lets hope we will seem normal amounts of rainfall and normal temps ..
Good man, wab. It sounds like you've been reading the Foxfire books for old home remedies. Hope that sock was washed first, though.
Glad to hear that ya'll are doing a little better. I've been hearing from a lot of people, that they or members of their family have been sick over the holidays.
Bug that is from my dad .. have a few more .. Sandi's recipe was exactly the same as the one handed down to me ..
hearing the same .. sick either last week or now this week .. am wondering how the schools will be tomorrow when they go back .. might be a lot of students out ..
Here it seems to effect people differently but almost always starts off with a headache .. then a feeling of being sick to your stomach without ever getting sick.. then it either seems to go to your chest with deep cough and abundant mucus .. or you just feel like total shit and every movement makes you hurt .. and your unable to concentrate on anything for any length of time .. a fever of 101.5 or lower for about 48 hours and when it breaks you start feeling better almost right away .. that might be because you were feeling so bad..
Actually it was a big blue work hanky .. and yes it was clean .. my Mom was a true believer in Vick's have used it for 60 years .. and always seems to help its amazing .. a must for the medicine cabinet..
Great news... Whiskey and Vicks. Works every time!
Yes it does, though is a strange combination ..
