A little about my self -

I joined weather Underground in August of 2005 right after they opened the blogging feature. I have been a weather hobbyist since the middle 60's when I lived on the west coast of Florida, north of the Tampa Bay area. I currently live in a small community in central Illinois.

I have been through numerous Hurricanes during my life time. The worse being Hurricane Camille in August 17,1969, A Cat 5, where the eye passed over the location I was at. That being Biloxi, Ms when I was in the USAF stationed at Keesler AFB.

Hi Wab. We had the front come in rather nicely. It blew for a little while, but not very hard. Had no hail up here at all in N. IL by the border in my area anyway. Got down to 38� here at the house last night .. Haven't heard of any areas having frost.. back up into the low 70's for a couple of days ... 67� here at noon .. Finn .. Wow, wab... from triple digits down to longjohn weather in just a few short weeks. You folks don't fool around up there, do you? "Hey, look at the calendar. It's mid Sept. Bug .. Heat till last of August and then within 3 weeks the temps start dropping like a rock before leveling around Thanksgiving for awhile ... was beautiful today not sure the high .. went and picked apples at a orchard with the g-kids .. they have a hugh playground with all kinds of neat things to explore and play on .. a buldozer, school bus, caboose, a 40 ft hill to roll down, ponies, petting zoo ect..ect.. really cool place for the kids ...
