We are all here watching the track of tropical storm Fay really closely. Right now it is south of Cuba with rainbands starting to effect the Florida Keys. Here is how i see it playing out:
Tropical Storm Fay
West coast of Florida:
landfall on Tuesday near Bradenton Florida
winds are forecasted to get to strong cat 1 status
waves of 15 feet not out of question
surge of 5-7 feet expected (damage to coastal homes more than likely from winds and surge.)
winds of 90 mph not out of question with higher gusts
moderate damage to older homes and severe damage to trailer homes possible.
alot of tree damage
power outages lasting up to two weeks not out of question
shelters will open on Monday should Fay get this strong
catastrophic damage to high rises if it does go up the mouth of the bay
anyone near the water (even tidal creeks) needs to evacuate tomorrow as a precaution as tampa bay will be in your backyards should this play out
