SNOWSQUALL WARNING ISSUED FOR PARRY SOUND/MUSKOKA... details below.

Yesterday's Reported Conditions.

Toronto - High 17 Low 4
Hamilton - High 16 Low 2
London - High 15 Low 3
Windsor - High 17 Low 3
Muskoka - High 15 Low 4
Parry Sound - High 15 Low 5

Much cooler conditions will dominate the southern portion of Ontario today with temperatures ranging from about 5 to 9 degrees across the region. Much cooler from the 15 or 16 degree highs experienced yesterday before the cold front passage.

Sunshine will rule today, however some cloudiness will form to the lee of Georgian Bay and Lake Huron as the cool flow picks up moisture off the lakes. There may be the odd sprinkle today in the Muskoka/Parry Sound regions. As the cold flow settles in overnight....there is a good chance that some Lake Effect Flurries will develop to the lee of the lakes.

Environment Canada has issued a Snowsquall Warning for the Parry Sound, Bracebridge/Hunstville/Baysville and Port Carling regions.... the warning text is below...

Snowsquall warning

Snowsquall warning for
Parry Sound/Muskoka Regions continued

..Reduced visibilities and significant snowfall amounts in snowsqualls developing late tonight then continuing Thursday..

This is a warning that snowsqualls are expected in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.

An intense low over Hudson Bay will bring an increasingly cold westerly flow to the above regions..Causing snowsqualls to develop over Georgian Bay late tonight.

Local snow amounts of 15 centimetres are expected under the most intense squalls - especially over inland areas and over higher elevations - by Thursday evening. By Thursday night temperatures will be low enough for snowfall accumulations even over lower ground and near the shore. Near zero visibilities in occasional heavy snow bursts will cause dangerous driving conditions.

Meanwhile wet flurries will also develop over Lake Huron thurdsay but higher temperatures are expected to preclude accumulation during the day. However..Accumulating snowsqualls are likely in some areas Thursday night. Warnings may need to be issued Thursday for this event.

Cool weather is expected to last well into the weekend with unsettled conditions for all of Southern Ontario. Scattered showers and wet flurries will traverse the regions over the weekend with temepratures only in the low single digits...more typical of late November.
