After a brief shot of lower humidity across the state, on Thursday into Friday, very humid conditions are back full force this weekend.
The ridge of high pressure that has been controlling the weather most of this month, providing very hot, humid, and dry weather conditions, will strenghten once again over the state today.

Overall, this is the hottest week, thus far this year, across the state of Mississippi.
Temperatures reached well up into the 90s on Tuesday, with heat index values, in the low 100s in some areas.
