By: weatherblog, 4:19 PM GMT on August 26, 2008

Fay after it's last landfall in the northern gulf coast is finally out of here. It is just producing showers and thunderstorms over Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama at the moment.Hurricane GustavOnce was a mere tropical depression 24 hours ago is now an agressive category 1 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 90 mph with wind gusts much higher up to 115 mph. So, this year I hope to be a bit more on key with having much frequent updates. If there is an off-season storm (or off-season threat) this year, I will keep you guys up to date on it. Other than that I will not update my blog everyday unnecessarily unless there is something developing or worth keeping an eye on in the tropics...
