Woke up this morning to the sound of rain pelting against the side of the house. All this over the sound of the fan I was running for white noise to keep the thunder at bay. Called my mom to hear that her backyard had flooded. She wouldn't be going to church with me because her sump pump has a tendency to not work when it should. Fortunately, I haven't had an SOS from her, so it must be working ok. Lake Meredith was creeping into the garden area. Good thing we haven't plowed, disked or planted any of our cold weather crops yet. This seems like a repeat of the last couple of years. The rain finally went away and the sun came out about the time the NASCAR race came on. Hubby said that would be the way it would happen LOL He had several outdoor projects he wanted to work on, but the race came first. At least it's quiet now. Hopefully tomorrow will be a bit dryer.
