A (mostly true) funny story I wrote about Mother's cat, Katt - Comments appreciated!

Mother had a stray cat show up at her back door some years back and, despite being feral but somehow in need of human connection, it would stare at her through the sliding glass patio door until she finally threw it some scraps, out of pity, after seeing it perched there for several days in a row. That was probably the wrong thing to do but a cat does do a pretty good job of catching varmints and this one did seem to suit her view of an ideal animal, showing no inc...

Facebook as a vehicle of information

By: wanzewurld, 4:38 PM GMT on October 13, 2012

Well, I had a positive experience this past week; I posted an overflight of the ISS (International Space Station) with times, directions, and elevations for the Columbia Mississippi area on Facebook after I updated myself from www.heavens-above.com. I had no idea that anyone would be interested and said so when I posted it. Stub, the wonder dog and I stood out in the rain and wind inspecting the machine for obvious problems - Me with an umbrella and Stub ...

Waiting for the gathering storm - Isaac 003

By: wanzewurld, 3:45 AM GMT on August 28, 2012

I went to town to take care of a few items I'd put off as long as I could but needed to take care of them before September and I supposed today was the last day I could be certain I'd have time. Me and Stub, the wonder dog rode around town looking to see how today differed from other days and most of the grocery stores, gas stations, fast food shops like McDonald's, KFC, etc were all busy with cars queued in long lines waiting for carry-out orders although ALL of t...
