Since my "This is Texas" entry seems to be bulging at the seams making it a loading nightmare for many people, I am going to reorganize it into 5 sections. I will start putting photos into their respective regions, and in Texas that would have to be at least 5. This is East Texas

I am putting together a sampling of what Texas is all about, its rugged beauty and variety of terrain. It has it all, mountains, beaches, forests, prairies, deserts, and of course big cities. As I find them I will be adding them to this blog, so this will be a work in progress for a little while.I consider East Texas to be from Texarkana down roughly to the north Houston area extending only about 200 miles to the west.My home is in a transistion area between central...

This is North Texas

Since my "This is Texas" entry seems to be bulging at the seams making it a loading nightmare for many people, I am going to reorganize it into 5 sections. I will start putting photos into their respective regions, and in Texas that would have to be at least 5. East, West, North, South and Central.I consider this area to include that area roughly from the DFW area north to the Red River, more precicely it would be considered North Central Texas.

This is South Texas

East, West, North, South and Central.South Texas I consider to be the far SE tip of Texas along the gulf coast and places west of that along the Mexican border until you arrive near the Big Bend area roughly....

This is West Texas

I will start putting photos into their respective regions, and in Texas that would have to be at least 5. East, West, North, South and Central. West Texas includes the High Plains area in the north and extends down into the Davis Mountains and Big Bend area to the south.
