Larry, I have a clean parking area... mom moved out my car while I was away working. The snow plow just raked through leaving the dark clean asphalt... there is a tall stack by the power pole though...

Yes, exactly, MAX.

Yeah this storm was fun to track and forecast. The late storm curveball was very interesting as well.

Look at HPC for this coming one. Never seen them draw an awful sharp hitch track like this before. Also note it's showing 1004mb at the 2nd marker. It's already 1004mb. May pay to keep an eye on what pressure it is by then.

Another "storm overperformed" comment coming late saturday? Which is code for "we screwed up, blame the storm for overperforming."

What....is that. Love to see a storm stop dead and then turn NNE like that. What gives.
NWS was conservative most of the way... until they decided to "play rough and fluctuate". Im happy with what I got but we are in serious problems here as to where to stack more snow... we have over 25" out there melting
Today as temps rose close to 40F was good, lots of melting was done...

Im working on a new snowfall map for northeast... from NYC on northward.
Im Placing Philly and places north and east for 1-3", NYC area north and east for 3-6", Eastern CT north and east for 6-12"... and SW Mass for 12"+

More significant snow coming for us... like if we didn't have enough

Looks that way. We got very warm here in NJ today. 46F.

So I am thinking if it snows 4", it will show on snow packs, but roads will be largely wet.

They need to go back to this method! You can see the nature of the storm with these. Those ranges are annoying...no feel for the weather at all.

Waiting for that snow area to move in, just to our West. But still 33.5F My Barometer got down to 28.98" WOW, pretty low. I would guess looking at radar, I'd pick up 2-3". More plows went by, street down to black top now.

Not quite sure where you are LT, but the HRRR in P's blog was the 20z run. 22z run has shifted east. Amounts likely overdone, perhaps by a lot, but definitely an east shift.

Yes, it is... I have a foot of snow but since there is another 3-8" of new snowfall we may reach anywhere from 15-20"...

More snow for us tomorrow night and Saturday, especially for you around the Boston Area

Hey Max! About 5.5" of wet snow here today with a bit of sleet and rain at the end also. Not a huge snow event for me. Classic Nor'easter though, probably the best storm to track so far this year just because it's much more intense than the others have been in terms of pressure.

29.54" equals 1000 mb... pressure is going down pretty fast now.

just a matter of hours to get other this dry slot for the new precip coming up from Virginia

I see some significant snowfall this weekend from the next storm... depending on how close to the coast it starts bombing is going to be key... we can't take more snow... please someone take this away!

Oh yeah... there is potential for extra 3-6" inches for us tonight...good thing temps will be cold enough for snow so we don't need to worry about rain/snow mix

One thing to point out about this next snow tonight... this one is coming WITH the upper low which will be strong by the time it gets here and becoming even stronger... there could be blizzard conditions out here tonight as the strong winds whip the snow on the ground creating white out conditions... and with more snow falling.

Let's see what the NWS does

Good for you Max, nice map. If we get that 3-4" tonight the map will verify. Blizz said on his Blog, get ready for another, separate storm during Saturday that could leave 3-7" more. Saw it on the 12Z GFS too.
