This is my first blog I'm writing from the attic.
I'll spend some time here since Im painting my room, having school and work would make it even take longer to get done.
*There is an important note regarding the Hurricane Score card. From now on it will be updated every Saturday. Check section below.
New York weekend forecast
Forecast for: March 23-24, 2013
First off...Current NWS snowfall forecast... expect to have higher numbers
Expect the rest of the day to remain sunny but really windy for all the area. Gusts reaching 30-35 mph are possible to keep blowing across; there are some reports of winds near gale force along the CT coast.
Temperatures for the area will reach mid 40s in the northern area of the CWA and upper 40s to lower 50s for southern areas near Philadelphia.
Humidity levels should remain the low 30s (percent) for the southern areas to near 40% across NYC on northwards. Expected to increase to high levels tonight into Sunday as a significant snowstorm approaches.
With the gusty winds expect those wind chills around 35F in NYC, Long Island and Coastal Connecticut, warmer as you head down into New Jersey, where winds are a little weaker.
Clear skies for the entire area, expect cloudiness to increase by twilight hours
Chilly temperatures, from Hartford down southwest into NYC and even as far down as Philly temps will barely hold above freezing. NY northern counties like Sullivan, Ulster, Dutchess, Orange, CT Litchfield and NJ Sussex will be colder; in the mid 20s.
Again, winds will be strong enough to make those temperatures feel much colder, especially along NYC where gusts could reach 12 mph. Lighter winds north and south of the city but still dangerous if wearing inappropriate clothing.
Coastal areas in Long Island sound as well as southern Long Island coast should also get a chilly breeze.
Relative temperature could be in the mid 20s for all the CWA and colder as you head to Albany, NY reaching mid to upper teens.
Sunday... Mainly cloudy and very windy day.
Temperatures not much above freezing point tomorrow morning, with some breeze making it feel in the mid to upper 20 degrees.
If heading out tomorrow morning please war warm clothing.
Light winds tomorrow evening but picking up in intensity by midnight as a snowstorm approaches the area.
Since the high temperatures for the entire are will be around 45F, some light winds could make it feel in the upper 30s all across.
Tomorrow night the nightmare begins as a storm (dubbed Virgil) currently affecting portions of the Plains and Mid-West will slide across and bring even more snow for the area. The snow should be entering the area before midnight for southern New Jersey and by early Monday morning into NYC and coastal Connecticut.
Regarding to the snowstorm which is expected to impact Sunday night into Monday, there are many unclear factors as to timing, accumulations and exact path.
More information will become available tomorrow as we approach to the event. Please check the comments below; I'll have more updated information there with snowmaps as well.

The hurricane season is 69 days away, we have to start thinking about this guys! Especially if you live in ground zero.
Also remember Im still working on my hurricane score-card...still looking for more participants to give me their thoughts as to how many (roughly) storms we are going to have. Please be part of this wonderful forecast experience.
**Check comments below for the updated chart
I was told that the hurricane season was still too far and posting the picture on the main blog was rather unpleasant (not specific reasons though). So i have decided to only provide updates in my blog as new bloggers wanted to join it. However, that also became a problem because after I made the announcements in Doctor Master's Blog every time it was updated in mine bloggers would tell me that I was "over promoting" my blog, which was annoying. Further down into decisions I have gone and to try to take all of you into account I have decided to only update my picture on Saturdays from now on.
How would people know if the chart is updated without posting it on the main blog???? IDK!...I'll announce it there anyway.
Again, comments like that does not affect me whatsoever, it's just a limiting measure I have taken from vexed bloggers. But I have over 40 people who likes the idea, hence listed.
Thanks to all listed. I hope this Atlantic hurricane Season could be one of the many I plan to forecast with your help of course.
Blog Rules...A mod or anyone else can tell you about them...
2 days ago a fellow blogger (anonymous) was banned, after she came back she decided to step away until a certain time due to a rather displeasing experience. I felt bad for such blogger when she could really well be here with us laughing and learning.
The problem is still that besides people bringing on topics like religion, politics and other non-weather related events could really derail the blog and the purpose it serves. People could feel temped to quote comment due to the circumstances -which is irrelevant to the blog, and by doing so they can either directly/indirectly attack someone/something and in many times demanding a response from it which can't be left untouched by others if no attention by admins was taken on. These are proving comments, meaning not civil, hence the Rules of the Road.
Please try hard to avoid temptation by such comments by simply ignoring or reporting, bloggers never end up good otherwise. I and many more come here to learn and have fun talking to people around the world. Let's try to keep Dr. Master's blog clean as well as many others'.
I'll have new updates to this blog during the week related to Virgil.
Let Spring spring. Enjoy these times!
