We've got light snow too just now. Would not call it a snow storm. Wind warning for a little later. Yesterday's wind took out the electrical power for us and thousands of others.
Have a good 'un.

Feeling a little bit "Old and in the Way" but that will pass with the front.

I don't see us as "in the way". Old, certainly. Like most my ancient wood working tools somewhat under used. But they still work better than the new stuff with lasers and digital readouts.

Thought I was gonna have an easy day but just drove Angie's econobox down the road and it's RLS.

Hopefully just a fouled plug.
Gotta get to work I guess.

Well, that wasn't too bad.

Gave the engine a bath, pulled the plugs, looked okay...poured some seafoam in the tank and about a third of the can through the throttle body and PCV valve. Ran it a bit and seems to be smooth again. Think it might be some bad fuel. (not sure there is any such thing as good fuel anymore) Cars that are old enough to drink don't care much for alcohol. Read something the other day that said a lot of fuel is out of spec before it ever reaches the gas station. I kinda believe that. Probably 90 percent of the problems I have with small engines or car engines the last few years have been fuel related.

Of course, it could also be that her car actually sat still for 3 days and got lazy.

It's her daily back and forth to work car. 175,000 mi give or take. Runs like a sewing machine. Might be the only thing we can afford to drive before long.

Well, I should have taken her car out on the main highway yesterday, but didn't. She went grocery shopping, well started to anyway, called 5 minutes later said she was coming back.

So...dumped some Seafoam in the crank case, poured the rest in the throttle body, (because I was still thinking it was either carbon, a stuck lifter, or bad gas), until it killed the motor.

Let is sit 15 minutes, fired it up and ran it until the smoke cleared.

Took it out on the main road and was still bucking like a bronco. So, put it in second and stood on the gas until it started running right. Drove a few miles down the road to the place we used to drag race. Long straight flat and you can see 2 miles with almost never another car. Road was vacant so I nailed it a couple more times then ran at a fair clip, around the block and home. Running good now.

Sometimes when you have a car that bucks like a bronco, you just gotta jab the spurs in until it gets tired of acting up.

The next question is, will the weather hold up so you can actually work on it? :)
