Ok, it's fall here. That means the highs are around 70 the lows are around 30. The other night, the low was 23. Last night the low was more like 40, so go figure.
The wind still blow. Today it's blowing from the SSW. Over the weekend, it blew from the NNE.
What do I expect?
Well, we're getting things battened down, and buttoned up around here, putting the garden to bed with a goodly layer of manure and several inches of hay mulch.
The horses are getting their home completed... part of the roof is on.
The chickens have a light which will soon switch to a heat lamp as the nightly lows dip well below freezing. They're giving us nearly a dozen eggs a day, and we'd like to have that continue.
The sheep? Well, they don't seem to mind the frost. They may or may not stay in their shelter. I've seen more than a little frost on their wool this last week.
