Overnight rain quickly clearing from southeast England, but lingering over Scotland with snow over high ground. Otherwise, very windy once again with sunny spells and scattered showers, some of which could be heavy.
Tonight:
Starting dry in the south, but rain across England and south Wales later, some heavy with a risk hill snow. Clear spells and showers in the north, drier in between.
Friday:
Occasionally heavy rain across the south clearing eastwards. Risk of hill snow. Further north, brighter with showers, wintry over high ground and perhaps at lower levels later. Breezy and cold.
