Weather Underground Forecast for Friday, February 01, 2013. A moderately strong storm will begin the day just south of Ireland before racing through the English Channel and into Belgium. By the end of the day, the storm will be along the border of Germany and Poland. This storm will gather strength and moisture as it the day progresses, thus moderate to occasionally heavy rain is likely from the northern half of France through Germany and Poland. Rain will also fall in northern Spain and adjacent areas of France in the evening as the main cold front spread southward. In addition, high elevation snow is likely through the higher elevations of the Alps. In addition, morning rain will spread through England, before drier conditions will take hold in the country in the afternoon and evening.

The secondary effect of the aforementioned storm will be the strong winds it will produce. Intense winds are expected close to the center of the storm as it moves from France into Poland. Strong north to northwesterly winds will also take hold in the United Kingdom in the evening as the center of the storm passes.

Also, another storm will move from the Baltic States into western Russia. Significant cold air will combine with this storm produce more widespread snow that will migrate from the Baltic States toward Moscow and northward in the evening.
