Emily is set to cross the Island of Hispaniola, in one form or another, and here are some things that could slow her down.  Most of the taller mountains, some more than 10,000 feet high, are located towards the eastern part of the island.

Currently Emily is looking like its becoming more condense and showing some signs of strengthening.

Also along with the mountains, there is some dry air to the NW which could affect Emily. But currently this is looking less than likely, due to the building strength and size of Emily.

I'm located in Tampa Fl, I will use this blog to post any local information and pictures that I find interesting.
