The latest version of the WunderMap app has launched today, and we've added a new WunderPhotos layer for iOS devices!

Now you can view, share and submit beautiful weather photos from within the WunderMap app. The new layer shows WunderPhotos from the past month. You can tap on any photo to see it full screen, and share it with your friends via Twitter, Facebook, email, etc. The layer can be configured to show all approved photos, Approver's Choice, or VIP photos.

WunderMap allows you to track weather data using a variety of weather layers, including current conditions from one of the 33,000+ weather stations, severe weather warnings, animated radar and satellite imagery, live webcam images, hurricane tracks, wildfires, and more.

Download the app today, available for iOS devices in the iTunes Store: http://wxug.us/1e3kv

Visit www.wundermap.com to access the desktop version, or to download previous updates of WunderMap.

Let us know what you think about the new WunderMap update and WunderPhoto layer!

In honor of Draw A Picture of a Bird Day, very late last night after going to bed but before falling asleep, I sketched a snowy owl. Just a simple drawing! Did you do a sketch?

Hope you had a Happy Draw a Picture of a Bird Day!

While off topic here as well, I have brought this here from Ricky Rood's current blog. I don't do wumail.

Richard Bronson says.. Businesses should stand up to climate change deniers. He wrote in his blog how he was impressed with Apple standing up against deniers..

Personally attacking the community as a whole or a sub-group in the WU community is not allowed either, it doesn't necessary have to include a name.. (Hasn't it been nice not having random people attack us for being weather nerds?)

Apologies again to those this morning.. BF you get one too..433 should have been removed , personal dispute, that has nothing to do with climate change ..since you quoted it & handled it well, I'm leaving it..
No apology necessary. As the person under attack, I thought another comment was worse than that one.

The record reflects what went on over there, and I am happy with that.

When uploading from the desktop, we have noticed lately that some photos have an incorrect default location. You can just modify the image to include your correct location if this happens. Apologies for the necessary extra action, though. It's a known issue that's only intermittent, but we'll get it fixed soon!

Hey washingtonian115, are you using one of the mobile apps (Radius or WunderMap) or are you uploading from your desktop?

Hadn't had a chance to try out the iOS app yet.

I've been liking the beta version of Wundermap but then realized you all just made it where I could find the multi map & labels on top options in the beta.. The tab with links back to various areas of WU is nice too though.

It needs a way, or I can't find it.. I thought there was a way..to copy the image location. It would be nice to be able to capture images off there easily to share (& not on FB) without doing a screen shot & all that.

Yea I agree that would be nice.
