Our Annual Family Christmas Eve Photo. The only time of the year I can
get everyone together at one time for a photo. Except this year son,
Greg, is missing. We may try to photo shop his picture there between
Ellen and Pam!

My website on Fine Arts America is up and running now. I do not sell prints so mine are all originals. Here is the link.

March 3, 2014.  So sorry I meant to set up new blog thread a few days ago but just did not get time to do it.  Been sort of busy with family and things.

I will add updates to everything in comments.

I may go ahead and continue to post my latest paintings here and some of the ones from last year that have not sold yet. (I did sell 3 last year in June-July which was great)

So Here are the maps and some pictures.

I was wondering how your folks fared. Thank heavens those things skipped all around them but not ON them.

I was glued to TWC last night from about 9:00 until shortly after 11:00, when I simply had to get to bed. It was not pretty.

YAY! The kids are moved in! It'll take 'em a while but they'll get settled in. And you'll have your house back!

I know you love them but it was definitely time to go back to being an empty nester!

Sandi, Bug, Ylee and friends.. thanks for your comments. Yes, they slept at their new home last night...and they just now took the two dogs for tonight.
Of course, they are no where near settled in.. most stuff is still in boxes and everything is a mess but they moved it. Still a lot of stuff here in this house but they need to get thru what they have already before adding to the chaos.
But it is nice... Thanks for your comments.

And just wanted to let everyone know, my family in Arkansas are all OK..many of them were very close to the areas of the tornadoes but they were spared and no damage. and this afternoon, my Dad & SMom were spared when the big tornado skipped over Water Valley and Oxford and touched down in Tupelo, MS just to their NE a few miles.
My family got lucky this time with all the tornadoes all around them. And of course we offer prayers to those who have lost loved ones and many that were injured and those that lost their homes.

Things have been very busy around here and I suspect will be for a while... I seriously need to do a new blog thread soon. Oh well.
Hope your week is going well!

Hi Gams - Congratulations on the kids getting moved into their own house - I bet you and poppy will breathe a sigh of relief to have your home back to yourself.

As for living out of boxes... when we had the loft insulated four weeks ago, the guy brought down a box that had been at the back of the loft. It contained bedding and towels, put up there, by accident I think, when we moved in 21 years ago!

I knew there should have been another box of bedding! But it had to go out... the mouse we had about 10 years ago must have enjoyed nibbling on the sheets! They had holes in them!

Happy Weekend to you and the family!

Is it really moving day? Tell Ellen that as long as they can find their toothbrushes and clean underwear, they're good to go.

It will take a while to get everything unpacked and put where it needs to go but they can do that at their own pace. Getting moved in was the biggie.

I know this townhouse isn't what they really wanted but the housing market down there sounds awful. At least now, they have their foot in the door. The pressure is off. A place of their own. Their forever house will come along one day.

Wow, it's Saturday, already? I think I blinked! :' ) So this weekend's The Big Move? Cool! I'm sure after they leave, the silence will be deafening!

You know where the Cards can get some baseball bats without holes in them? :' )

Take care!

Good morning my friends and Hope your Easter was a good one. We had the family over for the Easter Egg hunt in the morning then they all had to go to their "other side" of the family. Which was fine by us. Hubby and I just relaxed and played darts and enjoyed the peace & quiet! Skye, Sandi, Ylee, Bug and any other's I left off.. thank you so much for your posts and comments.

Guess what, maybe some good news. 8 weeks after the kids closed on their new home, they may be moving in this weekend. They have worked every chance they had on getting it ready. The upstairs was nearly gutted, scraped ceilings, new crown molding and baseboards. all new flooring even the stairs. They stripped & restained the stair railing so it would go better with the new flooring & it looks great. Painted the entire house ceiling & walls. new light fixtures & ceiling fans. Some new furniture they got has been delivered & blinds have been installed. They still need to get their closets done, they took out the old shelving & will be putting in better storage soon.Until then they will live out of drawers & boxes. They cannot afford to do the kitchen & bathrooms right now, so that will wait. But Even with all the interruptions with full time jobs, kids activities & busy weekends, it looks like they may get the moving truck this Saturday & start taking their stuff out of storage & our house & moving in to their new home. It will still take Ellen weeks to get everything unpacked & in place but it is happening. Don't worry, it is only 5 miles down the road & their schools are still just a few blocks away so I know I will still see them all the time, but soon, I hope, I will have my house back. I can start all my projects I never got to finish. Happy Dance!!!

You all have a great week!

WHOA!!! what a surprise to see this format that I am still trying to figure out. Bug, Ylee, Jeff, Sandi and anyone I may hav missed because you are at the bottom of the scroll...and this comment place is at the top...

we got about 1" of rain on Sunday which was great...then a beautiful day Monday and this morning. now getting cloudy...the rains will come in later but we are expected to reach around 90 this afternoon.

I have not touched my painting since early last week... the kids may not be in their town house until weekend after Easter.... just too much going on...but did have the new furniture delivered Sat and Sun. With them both working all the time and the kids sports and school activities not a lot of time. But it is getting there... if this were not Easter Weekend coming up ... they would have probably been able to move this weekend.

Thanks to all of you for leaving a comment and I hope this one takes and I figure out the new format. I actually like the way it looks I just not sure how to effectively work it yet. Hope you all have a great week.

Hi, Gams!

I've been trying to get by here all weekend and I keep getting distracted and led off to points off yonder.

Glad to hear the kids are in the homestretch and can start moving in soon.

It does sound like it's yard sale, put an add in the paper sell, donate and/or throw out time. Like I should talk. I still have more clutter in my house than I know what to do with. Lately, I just don't seem to have the gumption to do much of anything except the basics.

It's raining here! A friend of mine out east says the streets are flooding in Victoria Park.

I'm glad I got most of my outdoor chores done yesterday. Today I'm just doing some "spring" cleaning.

Hi, Gamma! Sounds like Ellen needs a yard sale, and whatever doesn't get sold, needs to be donated! Glad to see you didn't re-up your membership to the Dental Divas! ;' )

Good luck on the new painting; I think it's always good to stretch oneself with new techniques, whether they work or not. How else will you learn anything?

Baseball season has begun! Yippee!

Hi Bugg and Sandi,
Thank you for lifting up my blog! I remember the days when my blog was very active! LOL But this is my fault for sure.
At least I still have a few of you here on WU I speak with and that keep me a float!

Yes, the kids may....maybe...may start moving this weekend. They are working every night late after they work at their jobs all day.
They are on the home stretch.
The closets will not be ready; they took out all the very old shelving, etc that was falling apart and will eventually install new closet systems in the bedroom closets.
and yes, a fresh coat of paint and a good cleaning is all the bathrooms and kitchen will get for now. But they are making headway.

It is really getting crowded here and their stuff is everywhere. Ellen really needs to start getting rid of old clothes and stuff they no longer need. She is not going to have the room in this townhouse for all the stuff and they do not have a garage which they had in their last rental to put it all in.
but if they can make it work 5 or 6 years then they can perhaps buy a larger place with a garage.

I know she is getting tired of never being able to find anything and all the new stuff they have acquired over the past nearly 2 years (2 yrs in August) is everywhere. And they have a storage bin they are renting that is full.
even some of my stuff I wanted to keep but had to get out of the way is in their storage bin.

The updates they are doing are beautiful. If they are going to the expense and hard work to update the areas they are doing look great.

And yes, I started painting again on my latest canvas. This one may be a little of a challenge but if it turns out as I hope, I think it will look good. I finished my rough sketching Friday morning then started painting in the back ground and worked on it Saturday also.
Sunday was busy and I did not even touch it since Saturday.
Maybe tomorrow I can get on it again.

Dental check up this morning, and YEAH my check up was
good. I got an A for my hygiene, I am a good brusher and flosser! LOL and I had no problems so I am good for 6 months.

Right now I am making a large pot of Chicken broth.. hubby loves chicken that is boiled in all that fragrant broth where I add parsley, dill, onions, carrots, celery, pepper corns, salt, smells so good.
I will use the broth to make soup and hubby loves to eat that chicken.

We got .10" of rain last night which we need. North & Central Florida have been soggy for over a year now but we are very dry way down here. They are forecasting a lot more rain (and some stormy weather) for us later tonight... if it makes it all the way.. they usually start falling apart around central Florida.

Hope you are all having a good week!!!
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.

Just lifting you up from the depths...
I have my fingers crossed the 'kids' can get into their new house before Easter... They will soon make it their own.
It may not be a new house, but it is the same age as mine, so they will bring it back to its former glory. Tenants never look after a place as well as the home owners!

A new work, Gams?

I used to do my pottery decorating on the fly, like you describe doing your paintings.

Sometimes, though, when putting pen/pencil to paper or brush to canvas, it is a good idea to sketch a bit, when proportion and perspective need to be considered. Good luck with it and we're looking forward to seeing the finished work.

I know it's been slow going for the kids but they're getting there.

They're being smart to hold off on redoing the bathrooms. A new coat of paint always works wonders. Maybe new grout/seal, if needed. Some new accessories. Small changes can be done in the upcoming months, like new fixtures, mirros and/or lighting. All of which will help until they're ready to tackle a complete update. Are there any architectural salvage places around? You can find all kinds of cool stuff for a fraction of the price of new.

They're updating and repairing the main things: the flooring, walls, ceilings, etc in the main living areas. The places most people will see, when they come to visit

Hi everyone, sorry it has been a few days.

Tuesday, John and my son, Greg (his big cousin) drove down the Florida Keys all the way to Big Pine Key toward the end and made a lot of stops along the way to see some of the sites. They had a great time.

Then Wed morning I had to take him to the airport. He posted on FB last night that after his first day back at work in over a week, he sure wishes he was back in Florida again!

So yesterday was yard work for me and today more errands, etc.

Bug, Sandi and Skye, little late but White Rabbits three times to you both and all of you.

I do have Webroot, which is suppose to be the best protection you can buy for your computer. And it has been working .it runs by it self every day and sometimes I run it extra if I even suspect anything going amiss..... my email gets hacked because I think my passwords are very weak...but I have so many passwords as it is, I have to keep them all written down in a notebook by computer just to keep up..and date them when I change them.
I had to do some paperwork with the "government" and they got my full ss#, and remember I found out someone got my ID and tried to intercept my refund check (and boy would they have been disappointed).. also with that "Target" hacking issue last December, I found out one of my credit cards was compromised.
But so far nothing bad on my accounts of any kind...
just ever so often someone gets into my emails (both of them) and sends out crazy emails to nearly everyone on my contact list... lucky most of my friends know to delete them immediately.

I know I get them a lot from others too and know to delete them.
I have been trying to change my passwords and shut down computer more often these days.
It is all so hard, why cannot people just be honest and stop trying to steal other's ids or just causing problems.

Anyway, Skye, your painting is great. Very good job representing our April weather with the white rabbits.

I am actually trying to "sketch" a little on a new canvas for an idea I have been rolling around in my brain a few weeks. I am not a sketcher.. I just hit the canvas with paint and a paint brush...but this one I may need to try and sketch a little least just to get portions. .
we will see how it turns out.

So going into weekend soon, the kids are still working all the time on their new house and making progress finally. Still need to lay the new flooring upstairs and down the stairs. They have a wedding to attend tomorrow night so will not get in a full day of work tomorrow...but they have been working every night after work when they can.

They may be able to move into their new house in a few weeks, maybe be in before Easter... we will see.
actually it is not "new" by any means, it was built in the early 1980s and the upstairs has never been updated at all and a lot of damage by the renters was left downstairs...that is why it is taking so long. New ceiling fans and light fixtures, plaster, repair work, paint, sanding, staining, removing old flooring, laying new flooring... and they are not even able to afford to touch the very out dated bathrooms or kitchen yet.
I will keep you all updated.

Thank you all for stopping by and leaving a comment...

Hope you have a great weekend!

I think I've been by here 3 or 4 times but never did leave a comment.

Yeah, I saw an email from you but it looked weird, so I didn't open it. I've got a cousin whose email has been hacked repeatedly and I keep getting weird emails from her. I opened one a couple of years ago, saw it was some kind of promotion; someone was trying to sell me something. Nothing happened to my email, that I ever heard or saw. Now, when I see a similar odd subject line on her emails, I just delete them. Yours reminded me of that, which is why I deleted it without reading it, too.

glad to hear you had a good visit with your nephew.

Hello everyone,

Ylee, actually I ended up not going to the ball game and Christian went with John. Of course Christian (a Marlin fan) loved it... John being a die hard Cardinal fan said, this time "The Best Team did not win" ..

but they did have a great time.

Let's see, yesterday was "family day here at house with pool fun and grilling, darts, etc"
Also celebrated Greg's 39th Birthday which was actually Sat. March 29th.

All the "cousins" went out together Sat night to dinner then bowling.

Friday, John and I went to the beach and did a lot of walking on the beach (2 miles in the sand) then walked from Commercial Blvd down to World Famous Elbow Room on Los Olas Blvd, a little over 5 miles away.... and we walked about 2 miles back before hopping on a city bus for the rest of the trip. So in all we walked about 9 miles...

It was way too windy to get in the ocean. We rarely see that water so rough except when a tropical storm or hurricane is off shore. So there were danger rip current flags plus the Man-of-Wars were being thrown up on the beach from the rough surf. But it was very sunny and warm. We had sea food lunch at Aruba's then when we got to Elbow Room had a frozen drink and of course took John's picture in front of the sign. That place has been around since 1938 and was featured in the old movie "Where The Boys Are".

Wednesday we went up to see my sister so she can John could see each other then ate lunch at 15th Street Fishery, The boy wanted to eat as much fresh seafood as possible while he is here!

Today he is off with Greg and Hubby running errands and getting a hair cut.

So been a little busy around here.

Also my email was hacked again, several people let me know so I went in and changed all my passwords, etc.

If any of you ever get a weird email from me or no "subject" line or sent in the middle of the night, delete it.. it is not from me.
I turn off my cell phone at night and this computer is on other end of house and I am not even up that late.

Hope not too many of you were affected by it. but if you did open it, you need to also change your password.

So hope you all have a great week and I will check back when I can!

Hi Everyone, Bug, Sandi, Ylee,

Things really busy around here as normal.
Kids are still working nearly every night on their townhouse after they work at their job all day. That place had a lot more work involved than their prepared to handle but now it has to be done before they can move in. It will get done eventually.

My nephew, John, who is in the USAF is flying in this afternoon for about a week of spring break fun.

He is around 25 (I think), he went to the USAF Acadmey in Colorado, on full scholarship and graduated at top of his class. That school is for Air Force what West Point is for Army and Annapolis is for Navy. Very hard to get in and a great item on your resume. He went into his service as junior officer and now is working on his Master's in Engineering. That boy has made all the right decisions in his life and his very smart, very nice, very good looking and well built. He has a very bright future ahead of him.

Plus we have all always enjoyed him being around. He loves his Florida Cousins and looking forward to hanging with them.

But to prepare, I had to convert the office/studio back into another guest room (since the others are still full) and get some food in the house.

But now things are calming down.

So I doubt I will be around much in the next week, except coming to check the radar and weather info.
We are going to Jupiter to watch the St Louis Cardinals play Thursday the last games of Spring Training season before real season opens April 1st.

Hope you all have a great week!

I typed this so fast and did not proof read so probably some funny typos but sure you all can figure it out!

How nice that you did a 'last hurrah' with Rylee to Butterfly World. Love the pictures. I think my faves are the one of her jumping and you losing your hair to nesting material! lol

I can't believe how big Rylee is. I still see her in my mind's eye as about 5. Silly, I know. Her hair looks so much darker, too. I thought she was more blondish.

I understand perfectly why you're letting your yearly pass expire. With the kids getting so busy with school and various activities, you can't take them often enough to justify the expense. And those admission fees and passes are NOT cheap.

Well, you and Rylee did have a good run with Butterfly World over the years.

I took out yearly passes twice to the Charleston Museum and to Charlestowne Landing a couple of years ago. I really didn't go enough to either of them to keep it up.

I did go to the Charleston Museum a fair number of times that first year but found it hard to get there much the second year. I was trying to go after work and before they closed at 5:00, as I was already downtown. I'd have about 30, maybe 45 minutes, before closing time.

With Charlestown Landing, between my spring time allergies, the summer heat/humidity and the cold weather in winter, I didn't get there much, either. They close at 5:00, so it was impossible to get there after work, even for a short walk. Weekends seem to be tied up with household chores and errands. Hubby wasn't particularily interested in going with me. We went together once. AND they've recently raised the rates on the passes. Even with my MUSC discount, it's still too much for the small number of times I manage to get over there.

I'm now on the hunt for cheap or free places to go, locally. I want to become a tourist in my hometown, thanks to Briar's kick in the butt to slow down and take a look around me.

Hi Gams,
Been reading back and checking up on what has been happening to you and yours.
I love the photos of Rylee' and the butterflies, especially the one of the butterfly on her hair looks as though it could be part of the decoration! And the birds on your head!! I would have run away, flapping my hands! I love to watch the birds, but can't have them too close, as I dislike feathers!!!

Yes, she is growing up, but can you believe my little niece will be six in May...she is turning into a real bossy boots, now she has two little brothers to boss around. The new baby is a delight, and as good as gold. I shall get to see them next weekend I hope.

Glad to see things are coming together at the new homestead....soon they will be sleeping under their own roof.

Hi, gamma! we are actually having a nice day, almost 70! Of course, I'm still stuck at work, lol!

Right now, you all are going through a transition period, with the big move coming up, renovations, and getting your health and your painting back up to speed! Maybe you'll only be able to go to Butterfly World only once every year or so, but maybe you guys can find something else new and fun to do that might be as appealing or even moreso for a little girl who's almost 8!

Have a good weekend!

Skye, glad to see you stop by... yes, I have watched your two kids grow up here and you have watched my 6 grand kids grow up here and especially Rylee.
Rylee and I are "soul mates" if you don't believe me just ask her! LOL

I will be missing Butterfly World and Flamingo Gardens where I have been a season pass holder for the past 7 years, but with money tight and the grands all busy with their other stuff...and it is not cheap.. I may have to let it go for a while...

Good to see you and while Rylee is still tiny, she is probably getting close to you in height!

I was able to load up 10 pictures but only 9 would be allowed in my header for some reason... I have no idea, some are as portraits a few as outdoor focus but all were made out doors... who knows...
but at least 9 of the 10 that got approved are in header...

you can see how grown up Ms Rylee is these days but she is still a Nature Girl and a "Butterfly Whisperer"

You are making me miss the butterflies at the zoo & that with littlin, who is justa about as tall as me now. I wouldn't be shocked in the change of not so little Rylee..

We did luck out at Rockledge Gardens last fall, stopped in for some plants, the butterfly greenhouse was full of butterflies. My butterfly whisperer hadn't lost her touch.

Really like your dragonfly painting..the way the sun touches the field & it's flowers sweep back around the sun to the sky. Brings it all together in many ways.

Ylee, they are working on that townhouse nearly every night after work and on weekends.

They are starting to see it coming together; hopefully soon.

Next week I pick up my nephew at airport who is coming down from Tuesday - Wednesday the next week for his spring break.
I doubt they are moved in by then, but we will all take a break when he is in town to have a little fun.

Today, this morning, Rylee was out of school so I took her to Butterfly World for probably the last time for a long time. Her yearly pass expires tomorrow (mine in August).... and I cannot see myself (being broke and all) buying another yearly pass for her when we cannot go as often as we use to go...
We had a great time and got lots of great pictures of her and butterflies landing all over her...
she is a nature girl and a Butterfly Whisperer...
I have been taking her there since she was 1 year old and needed a stroller for when her short little legs could not walk any longer....

But with all her school and activities and sports, this may be something we have to put aside for a while... and it is not cheap at all so it is not some place you will just "go" .... unless you bought the yearly pass like I have done for the past 7 yrs.

I may load up a few pictures... those of the old WU friends who are on FB now cannot believe how much she has grown up... I mean she will be 8 in July!
I cannot believe that myself.

Anyway, we had a beautiful day warm sunny day after a cool and very foggy start this morning.

Hope your weekend is getting off to a great start.

Happy St Patrick's Day my Friends!

Bug, thank you very much and Yes your painting and Rylee's have a similar theme and I still have one more with that sun with white flowers and dragon flies.
Actually though I like the sun in your painting the best out of the three but I can never paint anything to be exactly like something I've done before, it always changes a little.
And she does love it.

Ylee, thank you, yes Nolan's stomach bug lasted right at 24 hours and then he was fine. Thank goodness!
Betsey, the one in Boston, said grandson Baron has strep throat and had it all weekend but finally got diagnosis so he can get the antibodies that is needed to cure the strep. That always goes around this time of year for school kids.
Thank you and Happy St Patrick's Day to you.

So most of North and Central Fla getting some heavy duty rain and both of those areas have been soggy for over a year now. and down here in SE Fla and most of South Florida south of Lake Okeechobee is very dry, the rain always breaks up before reaching us and we need the rain.
They totally took the rain out of our forecast for today and tonight so hopefully it will come tomorrow.
But we never get as much of it this far south....unless it is a tropical system, then that is a whole other ball game! LOL

Can you believe the WAshington DC area got another 6" of snow last night...
And we are suppose to believe we have man made global warming going on with two record long and cold and snowy winters in a row for every place except down here where I live...and we are NOT suppose to get cold at all, ever!

Oh well.

So you all have a great day and enjoy your week.

Hi, Gams.

Is Miss Rylee Jo happy with her painting? Tell her that she and Auntie Bug are now 'sisters' with two paintings in the same style.

I know the kids seems so overwhelmed with all the work on the townhouse. On paper, it doesn't sound like much but when you get into the job, it seems like the more you do, the more that needs doing shows up. There'll soon come a point where they'll turn the corner, hit the downhill slide and, all of a sudden, it's done.

So sorry to hear Noly has been under the weather.

AND belated happy anniversary. Sorry I didn't get by earlier to wish you ON the day.

LOL Good morning,

Noly has one of those tummy bugs and he started throwing up last night and threw up all night. But last time was around 5:30am and so far so good.
He stayed home with Gamma this morning and Ellen had to go to work because they are doing the local Kindergarten classes spring swim lessons for the next few weeks and she is the main instructor and one of the few that can teach special needs children.

But since she got no sleep I think she is coming home around 1pm for the day.

So far Noles has been able to hold down some vanilla ice cream...go figure!
He had a little fever for a while but seems ok now, we are going to try to keep him resting most of the day.

Sandi, LOL I know when I was here earlier I saw your new blog pop up and I had a chance to be FIRST, first time in a long time I have been able to do that!

It was fun. LOL  then I tried to stick around but WU is "bogging down" for me this m orning.. it may be my computer not sure.

Ylee and NEw, thanks. Oh yes, she saw it last night and LOVES it.
She is the one that told me the colors she wanted her dragon flys and while flowers she wanted.
She will now have it to go in her new room, that she does not have to share with her brother in their new home.

The kids new townhouse needed a lot more work than they thought and with them only being able to work a few nights a week after a long day at their jobs and on weekends, it may take a while.  They may be here a few more weeks but there is light at the end of this tunnel now and progress is being made.

So we have a lot going on, as usual,  I am not sure if I will start a new painting right now or not.

What I need to do is really find a way to market my paintings more aggressively.    I sent another email to that link Skye gave me a few weeks ago and still hoping that person will get back with me about selling my paintings in their shop.

I hope you all have a great weekend and the Spring Comes Very soon for all of us.  I will be back when I can.

Thanks for stopping by.

I like that picture,Rylee will love it.
It makes me feel warm just looking at it,but then anything with a sun in it and flowers and insects flying around will make me feel warm and think about the coming spring, one of these days.

Sandi, you are so right, when you own a home the work is never ending!  I remember when you did all those other remodels or updates.

Ylee, yes I am looking forward to seeing them play in spring traing.

NEw,  thank you very much.  so good to hear from you and glad you stopped by. I know your winter this year has been brutal. My daughter is just so OVER winter this year.
Hope spring comes soon.

Hi everyone, I finished Rylee's painting, I think I will name it  "Sunny Meadow" I put a picture in the header.
I do believe Ms Rylee Jo will love it.

So on to the next painting! LOL Not sure what I will do next.

You all have a great day.

How are you?Its been a while since I dropped by,drop in to see your paintings every once in a while.Love them, you really do have a great talent.
As far as your comment about 75 degrees,I can only dream.
Today after 2 inches of snow, them temp is 19 degrees with a windchill of 0.
I find myself visiting vacation sites in the Carribean just looking at the beaches and the water.

Sandi, didn't you redo most of your home in the past 5 years???

I did the en-suite to the master bedroom six years ago, refreshed the kitchen with new cupboard doors and work-surface four years ago then three years ago I had the whole of the downstairs repainted...lounge, dinning room and kitchen.

Next week I am having the whole of the house insulated... roof and walls, then the following week having a new kitchen window! It never ends!!! lol

Good morning!  We actually got a little of this cool front and our high today and tomorrow will only be around 75 degrees, but compared to the rest of the USA that would feel like summer temps for most!  So no complaining here.

Huri, so glad to see you and thank you for stopping by.  I know you are so ready to have some nice warm "beach" weather so you can go to your favorite playground, the beach on the Atlantic!  Hope all is well in your world and Thank you very much.

Sandi, I know, hasn't these past two years gone by fast!  And so much happened, I got laid off, started painting again, the kids moved in with us and just so much going on ...
Actually once we get the pool remodel done we will start saving to remodel the guest (aka use to be kids) bathroom.  It needs to be done badly but we wanted to get the pool done first.

Then everything in the house, except the office and guest bedroom and grandkids bedroom will be remodeled.  We will have to change flooring on the two guest bedrooms very soon, even if we do not paint.  Those two rooms I did those full floor to ceiling wall murals on back int the mid 90's and those walls will have to be sanded and primed before they can even be painted.  So much texture from the wall murals.
The office is not in bad shape, just a little paint over the plaster on the walls and it will be just fine, it was redone in 2001 with new floors and walls and ceiling.

Never a dull moment as a home owner as many of you already know.
Sandi, didn't you redo most of your home in the past 5 years???

Ylee!  Yes, I forgot to add that most folks started using Diamond Brite surface over the old white marcite pool surface in the late 1990's, it looks better and holds up much longer.  A much tougher and harder surface.

and guess what, when my nephew comes down end of March, he and I (everyone else will be at work) are going to Jupiter to watch the Cardinals play their last Spring Training game.  He already got the tickets for us.
We were so afraid he would not get here in time to see them and spring training season would be over.

So I am working on Rylee's painting and if all goes well I hope to finish it this afternoon or no later than tomorrow.  I say it is like 85% completed.  She is getting so excited. She checks it out every night when she gets home from school to see how much work I got done on it! LOL  It is more in a style a young girl would like,
It has the large Sun like the one Bug has, but a little more glittery and colorful, with Dragon Flys instead of butterfly...  I will take a picture of it when it is completed.

Hope you all have a great day!!!
