Gone Fishing Graphics & Gone Fishing Pictures
July 9, 2011:
As most of you know, Hubby and I are leaving early in the morning for a 9 day road trip, seeing my Dad and Brother, and my 40th HS reunion. We are leaving our Harley and Home in the good hands of Ellen & Chris and Rylee & Nolan, and two dogs, Dunkin & Roo. And of course our next door neighbor is "retired security" from NYC and nothing happens in our neighborhood he does not know about!
We are both working today but hope to get off a little early so we can do all our packing and load the SUV and finish all the details that need to be done. We will probably leave and drive 10-11 hours before stopping for the night. We want the bulk of the driving done Sunday so we can get up and only have a few hours and hopefully arrive at Papa Joe's house in early afternoon.
Then Friday we will head to Blytheville, Ark for my 40th High School Reunion.. and then start the 2 day trip back home Sunday July 17th.
I will have very little computer time during this trip so I doubt I will be posting until I return. I can leave a line or two on FB from my blackberry but not good doing it on WU from my phone.
So No Storms while we are gone!
Sept 12, 2009 at Water Valley, MS.
I pulled this crappie out of Lake Enid fishing with my Dad, Brother, and hubby on pontoon boat, just trolling along and enjoying the day and catching fish.
These weatherstickers say Sunrise, FL because technically my zip code is for Sunrise and not Lauderhill but I live just within the city limits of Lauderhill, we are offically NorthWest Lauderhill. There is confusion sometimes.
I found out, these maps are measuring fire hazard and soil moisture, not necessary drought according to rainfall.
This is the true "Regional Drought Monitor.
For the SE including Florida. Noticed the darkest red is in Broward and Palm Beach Counties because we have gone longest without rainfall.
Me with a Throw Back Crappie (seflagamma)
Thur. July 14, 2011. Water Valley, MS on Lake Enid. I brought in this 10" crappie that had to be thrown back. in Florida that would be a keeper but not Mississippi.
Me with 15" Crappie (seflagamma)
Thur July 14, 2011. Water Valley, MS on Lake Enid. In Miss Crappie must be 12" or larger to keep so most had to be thrown back but this was a keeper.

I have been a "weather geek" all of my life and living in the tropics since '79 has just made it more interesting. Great site for info and friends.
