Just a note, I'm bringing up an issue that has political undertones which I do not think is appropriae for the subject matter. If you cannot discuss the topic without bringing party politics into play, I ask that you refrain from posting.
I was listening to the news and I heard reported that there is a measure in Congress to give the status of the slain in the Ft Hood massacre war status. It's one of those sujects that for me that pits sympathies against reason and I don't know how I stand on the issue and that leads to the QOD:
SHould the Ft Hood victims recieve war victim status and the rights granted under that status?

Well, I didn't take the job. It wasn't because they were going to cut my base pay three hundred a week but they weren't willing to pay me a car allowance or for my cell phone. It kind of went with the arrogance of their not calling me back. It seems like they feel that in this job market someone will just about work for free and they might just be about right. First, like most people I think it was horrendous and like many people I think there were enough warning signs that someone in the chain of command should have been aware and action should have been taken before the tragedy happened. That is conjecture on my part however, I have no facts...

Just maybe. I said maybe, soon I'll be heading home. I tossed my resume out to a company about two months ago and never heard anything back and about a month ago I got a call from them asking me if I was interested in working for them. What? Near home? Sleeping in my own bed at night? Were they kidding? I said maybe. OK, I said let's talk as my heart went racing and my adreniline level topped the charts. I spoke with their opeations manager, someone who I knew and s...

Well, It's been awhile and time is flying. I will try to keep up with posting. I'm still in Houston. I've been home and back, saw my son go undefeated in regular season of football, my daughter play in her marching band and camp with the oldest and youngest. I did not get nearly enough time with Becky as our schedules were full. Since I've been here, Mary, aka Ihave27windows has invited me to her house to visit a half dozen times or more. Distance, timing and even m...
