Remove TEPCO Before Removing Fuel
Posted On: Nov 14, 2013

Fairewinds has fielded a number of questions regarding the removal of the fuel rods from the spent fuel pool in Unit 4 at Fukushima Daiichi. Today’s video shows Arnie debunking TEPCO’s animated film point by point, and highlights the issues TEPCO will have removing the fuel rods. TEPCO needs to be removed as the organization overseeing the cleanup of the site prior to the removal of the fuel rods.

is that a dust mite crabman?

It's my understanding that dust mites and eyebrow mites, -- while being closely related in the arachnid family -- are different species.

At least they don't spin webs. I guess that's something.*

What compilation of oddities would be completed without a #26? I give you........... Eyebrow mites

"They are elongated little creatures, appearing like tiny worms. Each mite varies from .1 mm to .4 mm in size, so they are more or less invisible to the human eye. They'll sometimes crawl across your face, usually at night."

Alrighty then.

Don't make me tell you about nose crickets.

I hope I can sleep tonight! haha!

Thanks for that windows, I knew when I read it it wasn't right. For the whole story of H.W.'s wartime experience try a book called "Flyboys". Very good read and full of enough horrors and attrocities (by both sides) to give you the 26th comment of todays QOD.

The George H.W. story is inaccurate.

On September 2, 1944, Bush's plane was shot down in a bombing run over the island of Chichi Jima, a key location for Japanese operations in the Pacific. Bush and one of his crewmen bailed out, but the other man's parachute never opened. The third crewman went down with the plane. Alone in the ocean off the coast of Chichi Jima, Bush was eventually rescued by an American submarine on patrol for downed pilots. More than 50 years later, Bush said the deaths of his two crewmen "still weigh heavy on my mind."
