Stop the presses, today's QOD is about weather, or better put weather related.
Before I get started though a word to the media. Guess what folks, more than New York was impacted by Sandy. Burns my ass that all you see is New York this New York that and there's millions more in other states as worse and worse off.
Speaking of New York though, the sports stations have been all abuzz the past few days concerning New York's marathon and should it or should it not be run. It was such a hot button, that not because of ability, it has been cancelled and so I ask you...
Should the New York Marathon have run as scheduled?

I think it should have been cancelled. Perhaps some people who may have wanted to enter could not because of issues they had due to the storm, s.a. no electricity, damaged property, etc.
I'm all for a return to normality but don't push it. Example, the 2004 hurricane season in Florida. Four major hurricanes in six weeks. Governor Bush kept harping about "Get the children back in school NOW." Hey, many of these children had no homes or electricity for several weeks. Let the home life return to normal first so they can concentrate on school. But then again, I'm not normal. LOL
I realize Sandy was a huge and widespread storm in physical size, but how do you call a Cat 1 hurricane a "Superstorm"?
