This is a blog for "people". You're not defined by your latest & greatest. You are you and that's great enough.

No, not the NFL type, the Pop Warner Pee Wee Super Bowl and not me but Kyle, my 12 year old son. Here's the story from his local paper...
From The Treasure Coast News Group
JENSEN BEACH — The Jensen Beach Falcons PeeWee
football team put together a dominant performance in the first round of the Pop Warner Southeast Regional Playoffs, rolling over the Lauderhill Broncos, 28-14.
The Falcons used a punishing ground game and four touchdowns from running back Tyrese Jackson to secure the victory. Frustrated by the an offensive line that continually opened holes for running backs Robbie Piekarski and Trent Graham, Lauderhill's defense was on its heels from the opening drive. The Falcons kept the pressure on with Jackson breaking off long runs to the outside in a "thunder-and-lightning" style game plan.
"I really didn't do much," said Jackson. "I had some big runs, but the game was won by Robbie and Trent, and the offensive line gave me huge holes to run through."
Head Coach James Canata commented on his team, who many view as under-sized in the 120-pound league: "I love that week in and week out teams look at the little guys from Jensen and snicker about how small we are. By halftime they have a totally different opinion. We don't talk trash; we work hard, prepare, and then line 'em up!"
Offensive lineman Nolan Comm may have said it best. When coming off the field after the game, he shouted, "Who's next!"
With the victory, the Falcons are now one of only four teams within the region (which includes Florida, Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi) that have a chance to go to the Pop Warner Super Bowl and play for a National Championship.
The Falcons' next opponent will be the Ormond Beach Sandcrabs, who won their game against the South Pasco Predators, 14-12, in overtime.
The game will be held at the Hallandale High School Stadium in Hallandale at 1 p.m. on Nov. 19.
After their third undefeated regular season and then winning the Treasure Coast title, they grabbed the South East Florida honors. So this Saturday in Hallandale and after that they head to Orlando to play against the best from around the nation and hopefully they fullfill the dream of young ball players the country over, a Super Bowl trophy that they helped obtain for their team. For most this will be the biggest game of their lives as very few will go on to the college level, a minute few will make it to the NFL and far less will gain that coveted NFL Super Bowl ring. The catch, because there always is one is that each player has to raise $800.00 dollars to make the trip and Kyle needs your help. Any donation you can make would be deeply appreciated and would make a dream come true for my little boy. Well, not so little anymore, but still and always, my little boy. To those that can and do help, please accept my thanks in advance.
