I'm Glad I'm Not You, Cus Then I Wouldn't Be Me

WEDNESDAY'S QUESTION OF THE DAY

By: ricderr, 7:18 PM GMT on July 29, 2009

Life is good here in stormy Florida. It's rained everyday and it's not near as hot as Houston, but that might in large part be due to the fact I have not climbed a single roof. I'm enjoying family immensely. Dorothy was so right, there is no place like home. I leave Monday and I hope it takes forever to get here. I had a pleasant surprise when I picked up my rental car, the deal I had was for a full size car and when I arrived at Hertz they didn't have one so instead they gave me a Mustang convertable. Now, I wouldn't own one, since I've found out I can't leave enough rubber on the asphalt when the light turns green and it won't handle a corner well at 55 mph, but it does sound good and it looks nice and it's fun to have the top down but it does lead to the QOD:

If you could own any vehicle what would it be?

FROM ONE FIGHTER TO ANOTHER

By: ricderr, 2:12 PM GMT on July 08, 2009

Oh they were the best of time they were the worst of times. Truthfully they were the stupidest of times. I'm talking about blog wars.

I don't blame people for not liking other people. Hey, I don't like people and I can understand how certain people, whether they are good people or not, can rub you the wrong way. Guess what though? Deal with it. Ban and ignore are great buttons. Heck, make WunderYakuza get off his lazy duff and earn his pay (Who loves ya Yak?) Protest, I personally like the strike blogs. Push the envelope. Notice, I said push, I didn't say break.

I know, I know, you're the manly type. You don't want to go running to mommy. Don't worry, Yak aint your mommy.

See, I couldn't sleep last night and got up and decided to read through the late night blogs. MLC was on a roll, he didn't push the envelope, he disentegrated it. I had noticed this morning that he had got out his dustbuster and cleaned his blog, but I guess Yak doesn't sleep much and now MLC is taking the proverbial dirt nap. For how long I don't know, but I mean how am I going to see what the right wing extremists ae spinning. What am I going to cut and paste to counter babble with facts about? Weather? Do I look like a Master's Nerd to you? Anyways, I need a contest or a storm to get excited about the weather.

So kidlets, I'm not your teacher, I'm just another of the bad kids that got tired of being angry here. Found out I liked the site much better when I could learn to be happy and laugh instead of growl and I hope you can too. Anyways, there's more good people that bad so it just aint worth it. I even miss a few of you, ok, a little bit, well, sometimes, alright, between potty breaks, yeah that sounds about right.

Tuesday's Question of the Day

By: ricderr, 1:21 PM GMT on July 06, 2009

I said my peace....kind of seems like keeping it up is beating a dead horse (pun intended) time to move onto better things....but i really don't feel like posting a question so yesterdays news is todays

I know I know, what parent would allow their young children to have such wild hair? OK, Cassies's isn't that wild just a hint of red. I think she called it auburn. The boys dyed theirs and then went into the pool too soon so they're due for a re-dye job. Now as much as I can't stand a mohawk, I think blue is way too much like a smurf and a 12 year old has much more important things to worry about than having the right shade of red. They can wear or color their hair any way they choose. Of course the colors will have to be muted down for school there are dress code issues but anything else goes. As a kid growing up in the late '60's, early 70's I had a buzz while all my friends were growing theirs out. My dad said when you can pay for your own hair cut you can choose your style. Fine by me, the first paycheck I got my dad asked how I would spend it and I told him. I'm getting a haircut! Now, although I have never dyed my hair, it's been long and it's been curled and now it's bald. Hair is hair, have fun and express yourself and that leads to the QOD:

What is the wldest hairstyle you have had?
