I cut Buck the dogs strut down to a mile yesterday. Even that short distance had him laying on the basement floor panting when we got home.

Morning Alley
BUck really dosen't like water. When he was a pup he slide into a ditch in early spring. The water must have been just above freezing. Since then when it gets deep enough to touch his belly he's out. lol
He won't leave me alone till I take him out in the evening. I can't move, he's right at my feet. I even brought him a bottle of water last night which he enjoyed about half way through his walk.

I can imagine poor Buck wanting to find the coolest place to lay. Poor pup. Its hard on them when the heat gets like that. Ours at home on the farm use to go for a cool swim after his run, he would just go and jump into the water tank at the barn where the cattle would go to drink...A long haired collie I think minds the heat more than the shorter haired Shepherd.

Another pleasant day here today with a mild breeze.I am sure by the end of the week we will be much like you and on a slow bake...LOL

Stay cool today dear and try to keep the runs for later in the evening when its a bit cooler.
