What a difference the repaired hearing aid make, now I only have ringing on 1 side. :)
One the way home from the audiologists I stopped at the local thrift shop and found a case that will work perfectly for the grandfather clock project. I could never make one that looks as good and the price was less than the material would have cost to build my own.
it's amazing what you can find at that shop.
my daughter once found a $200 router there and paid $3 for it. She can plug her usb internet stick into it and have wifi throughout her home.

Hey you have some pretty good thrift stores. Funny just this Saturday I was thinking about reasons I like my friends and their friends.
Was at the God-sons birthday and all the adults are sitting in the kitchen talking about our latest finds at the thrift stores.
It's nice having people around that enjoy bargains that are not just "sales" at the mall.

Hi, Tony! Fans from your neck of the woods are still blowing, as it got below freezing for the second day in a row!

Our thrift shops usually don't have stuff like routers and craft supplies, mostly clothes and shoes! Good luck on the project, and I hope they get your other "ear" fixed soon!

Good morning Tony, decided to stay in bed and soak the warmth up. Temps are in the low 40s with a 25 mph wind blowing. Dark as hell too so I guess we may get some rain later. Came on here to check out the radar to see what is blowing in from MI.

Shut down FB last night until Nov. Just have too much to do and FB was taking up too much of my time. Nothing was getting done. So now I am officially on my sabatical from it. Well time to get this old butt of mine in gear and start cleaning. Have a great wknd.

Good Morning, Tony!

Hooray! One hearing aid fixed and one to go! Hope it won't take long till the other's finally fixed to where the constant obnoxious ear ringing will finally end!

Happy to learn that your side trip to the local thrift store proved successful. Quite a coup in finding a perfect case for your grandfather's clock project. Wish there were great bargains and stores like that around my area. Can't wait to see the final results when you're done!

Sounds like your weekend may be partly spent on those projects you've been working on. The only on-going project around here is more raking, mulching and bagging of leaves. They never end this time of year! LOL! At least, our temps may warm up to near 68F by the end of next week. There just aren't enough thermals out there anymore to keep this fragile ole gal warm during much colder months! LOL!
