Still Problems With the UW Webcams

By: plapman , 11:57 AM GMT on August 07, 2013

Today will be mainly cloudy with a 40% chance of showers. The will be high 18C(64F) .
Tonight will start mainly cloudy with a 40% chance of showers early this evening then clearing late this evening. The overnight low will be 7C(45F).
My webcam doesn't update. I keep getting an error that says "read Timed out". I looked at the web cam section of UW and a lot of cams seem to be having the same problem as a lot of them are only showing pictures from yesterday.
Yesterday I cut the front lawn. with all the rain we've been getting it nice and hick as if I've been watering it.

I see yours and WatchinTheSky's cams are back up! Hopefully, they'll stay that way!

The new visitor's map is working, too! It says I'm from Kansas(WU does too, lol)!

Hope you're having a good day!

Good Morning, Tony!

Sorry to learn that WU's created persistent glitches with people's webcams! Perhaps, on the up side, it's nice to see a daily repeated view of sunshine rather than thunderclouds! LOL!

It appears this season has dumped enough rainfall around to keep many of our lawns green, lush and happy. Granted, the down-side is that it requires us to mow them more often, but still it's nice to see lush green throughout this summer and to be spared some expense by keeping it that way!

We've been downright chilly these past few days/nights to the point where our heat has almost kicked on overnight. Looks like things will be warming up a tad today though Saturday more thunderboomers will be swooping through before things settle down again by next week. Thankfully, we're done with those oppressive heatwaves!

Hope your weather and health permit you to finish cutting the lawn before the week is through. My hubby's been doing the same thing and, himself, and must pace himself as well!

Same problems here. On 7/24 support said they were working on it. Back a few days ago it looked like it started working again, but as of yesterday, it's hit or miss, and mostly miss.

Tony, it sounds more like an issue with WU cams rather than yours. Give it a day or two and see if they fix it.

We may get some rain today. Could use it as its getting rather dry out. Overcast and warmer today than yesterday but still nice with temps in the high 70s, low 80s. So far we have had a good summer with not too much excessive heat.

Have a great day.
