Today will be mainly sunny with the wind becoming south 20 km/h this morning. The high will be 29C(84F).
Tonight will bring a few clouds with increasing cloudiness after midnight then a few showers with thunderstorms. The southerly flow at 20 km/h becoming light early this evening as the temp drops to 20C(68F).

I had a visit from my last remaining uncle yesterday, the old guy's 83 and plans on reroofing his garage by himself this summer even after a hip replacement last winter.

Good morning Tony. Ya can't put a good man down. I am sure in his 83 years he knows the importance of a tie off when working on a roof but like MASS said, it is wise to make sure you have someone to help you, even if you designate the lugging of the shingles to the roof for placement. LOL Good for him for even attempting it at his age but then again he is probably a very young 83.

Hope all is going well on the Prairies. Gotta say thanks for this nice dry air mass we have now. Have a great day.

Good Mornin' Tony!

I hope your 83 yr old uncle truly understands the serious dangers of re-roofing his garage at this stage of his life, especially, so soon after a hip replacement! One certainly wouldn't want him ending up with more serious health concerns or worse should he accidentally slip and fall. If anything, I hope there's a helpful younger around to assist or at least monitor him while doing this big project.

Looks like you've caught a break in all the summer heat, as your low temp and dewpoint readings in your weather station look so enviously pleasant. It's also nice to see that the sun's shining in the scene from your webcam. It's quite cloudy, dank and humid around here.

We've had a nice cool down from all the heat today, but the oppressive humidity remains. As of Sunday, another 90 plus heatwave is expected to arrive and last till mid-week. This first half of July has mostly been so miserably hot and stormy around here! Hope you manage to make out a lot better than us!
