Today will see periods of freezing drizzle changing to snow this morning. Snowfall amount 5 cm 2Inches). There will be blowing snow with visibilities at times less than 2 kilometres late this morning and this afternoon caused by northerly winds at 30 km/h gusting to 50. The temperature falling to -7C(19F) this afternoon.
Tonight will be cloudy with a 30% chance of flurries this evening. Wind north The northerly wind 30 km/h gusting to 50 becoming light overnight. The overnight low will be -16C(3F).

Abbey had another bunny chase yesterday. That dog will never learn that she has no chance of catching one.
The vehicle in the ditch is still there but some of the snow has been cleared from the road. I was talking to a friend who lives close to the scene and he said 2 tow trucks have been there but both refused to pull the van up the steep slope for fear of flopping the van on it's side. The only way I can see of getting it out without further damage is to use a crane, put saddles under the wheels, and lift it out. The retrieval will cost almost as much as the vehicle is worth.

ROFLMBO...Good morning everyone. Hope you have a great day on the Prairie. You know a good team of horses would probably get that van out of the gully without any problem. Seen it done down home and I am sure it could be done there. That is the problem with modern men, they don't think past their noses and see the resources they have around them these days. Use ropes to stablize the vehicle as its being pulled out so it does not flip on its side...Jeeze, guess they need a woman to go and show them how its done.
