A Snowy Update
Posted by: plapman, 1:22 PM GMT on November 10, 2012 +0
Winter storm warning in effect.
Today will bring snow at times heavy and blowing snow with 10 to 20 cm(4-8 inches). The wind will be northeast at 30 km/h gusting to 50. A high of -2C(28F) is expected.
Tonight will bring more snow at times heavy with another 10 to 15 cm(4-7 inches) expected. The northerly flow of air will become l light near midnight as the temps drop to -6C(21F).
------------------------------------------------- --
I just let Abbey in from her morning trip outdoors and the ground and the Queen's car are both white. I guess by tomorrow morning I'll have to see if my repairs to the snow blower were good or not.
With the winds gusting to 30 mph driving will be treacherous. The Trans-Canada highway between Portage and Winnipeg can be really bad at times with 0 visibility. I remember driving into Winnipeg to our headquarters while working and the normal 45 minute trip taking 2 hours. I'm sure glad I don't have to make that trip anymore.

Good morning Tony. Overcast here with more chance of rain but temps are quite mild. No chance of snow for a little while yet.

Coffee is ready so I guess I will go and have my first morning cup. Have a great day and don't over do things when out in the snow.

Oh my goodness, just dropped by to have a look at your cam and damn that is a lot of snow. Be careful out there when you go out in the AM. Stay safe and don't over do things when it comes to removing the snow.

Good luck with this stuff.

Lookin' good this morning out your basement window. That snow looks way too dry to make an igloo.

I see you have been busy with both the shovel and snowblower. At least now the Queen can get out when its time to go to work. Hope you are not due for more snow for a while now. That is a lot to get in one dump.

Got up to 65F here with lots of sunshine and a moderate breeze. Not bad, rain tomorrow then the bottom drops out of the temps and we are back to a daytime high of only 36F. Going to remain cool from there on in so snow may eventually reach us here too.

Get some rest now and take it easy.

Tony, looks like someone's got the Queen's car cleaned off! Take care out there, and tell the Queen to be careful if she has to go to work this evening!
