Yesterday while on my walk with Abbey I decided it was time to clean up the recyclables along the road beside the gopher trails. I brought 4 beer cans, 5 #1 plastic plastic pop bottles and a few empty cigarette packages to the recycle depot. People sure leave a mess behind them.
After the walk I removed the remaining 2 silver medals from their mount. Today I'll remove the urethane and polish them.
I called the a museum in Winnipeg to get advice on how to store them so that they won't tarnish. Once mounted the are very hard to get at. The lady in charge of restoring the museum's silver pieces suggested I store them in and air tight container with a small amount of activated charcoal in a cloth bag.
Today I'll remove the coating and polish the medals.
The 2 bronze stars my father earned for serving in the Italy campaign and for service from 1939 until the wars end in 1945 will remain as is as the yellowing does not show on the dark metal. Soon I'll be ready to remount the artifacts and display them again in the shadow box I've made.

Good morning Tony. Decided to stay in bed a little longer this morning so Mush would have time to get over here and be first....ROFLMBO. I see that he made it but only after rushing and tripping on a bar bell. That extra sleep sure was nice...

Little cooler this morning but will warm up again to what seems is going to be our normal for a bit. Sunday will be cooler with only a high of 60F predicted with rain. Oh sweet October is on her way.

Well my coffee is ready so its time to grab that first cup and start taking my array of pharmaceuticals. They sure have grown over the past few months but alas if they work then it's worth not feeling this lousy.

Have a great day dear one.
