You can feel, see and hear autumn coming to the prairie. The mornings are cool, some of the hardwood trees are loosing their dark green color and yesterday while sitting on the back steep with the Queen you could hear geese flying overhead.
With nature telling me to take heed I decided it was time to repair my snow blower which had broken a belt late last winter. The instructions said it was a 2 person job but I did it myself using ropes to take the place of the second person. I am not going to let my health stop me from doing what I used to do!
The snow blower project took me longer than expected and Abby never got her walk yesterday, today Ill make it up to her after I clean up the mess she leaves when we don't get out. Luckily she has her favorite spot on the back lawn and clean up is easy. Today I'll finish up the snow blower and work on making a picture frame to display pictures of the ladies in my life.

Good morning Tony. Yes Autumn is coming, tomorrow will be just a wee taste of it with a high of 65F for us...I love this time of the year with the cooling temps to refresh and revitalize the body. May actually go out and start the cutback on some of my bushes here in the front yard. It's beginning to look like a jungle around the porch here with the climbing roses gone into a "wild" state. I usually don't let them get like this but its been a hellish summer and did not want to do it in the heat we had.

Anyway have a great day, enjoy your walk with Abbey and puttering around.
