Retired and loving it. If I'd have known about retirement befor I started my 40 year career with the government of Manitoba I'd have retired first. :)

Another hot day in store for us then it will cool a bit after the rains move in. I much prefer the temps in the 70s. It was rough last night for sleeping until it started to cool. Did not want to turn on the AC yet. Calling the guys tomorrow to come and check it out and add freeon so it will be ready to use when it really gets hot. Right now a fan helps. Even with all the drapes pulled it still gets warm in here.
well coffee is ready so time to have my first cup of Joe for the day. Have a great Victoria Day on the Prairies....
If you hadn't posted about Abbey's ultimate instinctual reaction to the bunny, I would have thought, from the look of the picture, that this was a sweet snapshot of two docile animals nuzzling through the cage. Good thing there was a protective human (your daughter?) inside along with the bunny. Perhaps with time and daily recognition, Abbey might become accustomed to the bunny and go back to seeking out those elusive gophers while on walks. Then again, it might be a good idea to keep a higher stronger barricade between bunny and dog, otherwise, the family might end up eating rabbit stew ... if there's anything left!
Looks like we're both experiencing the start of an iffy weather week. Surpisingly, we're currently watching a tropical storm off the coast of the Carolina's that may head towards us by Weds./Thurs. but, thankfully, in a more easterly direction out to sea. If this materializes, it would be unprecedented for the Northeast at this time of year. Nevertheless, it shouldn't have much of an impact on our shores. WHEW!
Hope you and Abbey are able to make the most of your morning before more inclement weather sets in this afternoon.
