I never got Abbey out for her walk yesterday. I thought the 30 degree weather would be a bit much for her.
The Queen has given me another project to keep me off the front lawn rating the young ladies in their shorts. She has found a free website which has a book for her genealogy project. The book has 74 sections and each has to be downloaded in text format so that she can read it on her new ebook reader. Yesterday i did 16 sections before she made me quit after 2 hours. Each section contains up to 20 pages. I'll be busy for a while.:) and so will she reading the book.
it looks like I'm going to have to cut the back lawn today and get my pump up from the basement into the garage. I have some grass that needs patching on both lawns. I guess I'll have to do the back lawn in small sections so that the little girls can play out there without getting muddy from the extra watering it will need.
Tomorrow we have a dinner to attend. It's to celebrate the 20 anniversary of the Citizen's on Patrol Program. I was the statistician for the group for 11 of those years keeping track of who went on patrol, the time they spent and the mileage they put in. The city pays for the mileage the volunteers to cover the cost of fuel. I had to quit participating in the group after my first stroke due to vision problems. It will be good to see the members I have worked with and it should be a good evening with a meal and entertainment.

Good Morning, Tony!

Like you, we experienced some very chilly overnight lows, with frost warnings nearby, but our daytime highs are becoming increasingly pleasant in the 70's to near 80. We'll be completely happy, however, when we don't have to worry about our furnace snapping on during the night. It, thankfully, shouldn't be too much longer, as June's only a couple weeks away and sure to bring summery relief.

You and my hubby seem to be in sync when it comes to either puttering in the basement or the yard. Hubby did a terrific job pacing himself while mowing our large backyard with our hand-held power mower. The ole sit-down mower went kaput a couple years ago, so now he's forced to get some exercise. It'll be better when he's not subjected to a current high pollen count.

Hope your and the Mrs. enjoy that special event tomorrow night and get to catch up with former fellow members of that worthy Citizen's group. Nothing like free good food and conversation amongst friends!

Good morning Tony. Glad to see all is well on the Prairie and yes 30C is hot...we are in for our temps on the wknd up in the mid 80s so I will have to keep the curtains closed and try to get the grass cut today too while its still a little cooler.

Time to grab a coffee and some breakfast, take my meds then perhaps head out to get that green stuff cut. Have a great day.
