A quiet day on the prairie yesterday. After taking Abbey for her walk I started the garage hoard. I was going to take everything out and rearrange it. After hauling stuff out for 15 minutes I decided it's time to thin out the inventory. :) I have a window which was replaced 10 years ago stored in there, along with 2 bench saws and a lot of other stuff I'll never need. I bet the the day after I chuck the stuff I'll need it. :) I think one of the table saws will go out on the curb today with a take me away sign. I never went much further than looking through it when I decided I'll need the SIL's car trailer to put the junk on and haul it to the dump. There will be tears on my eyes as it leaves. :)
I think today I'll make one last attempt at getting the cookoo working again or make a case to put the quartz movement that I was going to use in the grandmother. I need another clock. :) I counted the other day and I have 16 of them on my walls of my basement.

I understand the feeling about getting rid of stuff you have stored - that's why I keep building more storage.
I see trucks around here with the logo: "You Got Junk?"
I think the best way would be to book them for a few days and go for an holiday.
Yesterday Tloml gave away a fiber glass punt I had intended to fix up. It was damaged when a big oak tree came down and some branches must have hit the little boat. It was actually a good feeling to pass the project on to someone who needed a small boat. Last night she told me she had stopped at the Cowichan Maritime Museum and they might be interested in the 21' jet boat I built one shed for.
Have a great day.
Have a good day!
As I post this, my hubby's downstairs in the garage puttering about as well. Thankfully, he did a thorough reorganization job some time ago and either threw out or gave away those things he could no longer safely use or were completely broken. I must say, "it's so nice to have a man around the house", especially, with these particular chores. LOL!
Well, today, we have a lovely, sunny, warm, spring-like day in store for us (76F degrees) before a weekend that could produce chilly temps and the heavy rainfall needed to break out of our lengthy dry spell plus high pollen count. We've been really affected by the pollen this season with counts reaching 11.80 out of 12.00! Lots of sneezing and hacking going on around here. Is it any wonder why we're actually looking forward to this chilly, rain soaked Sunday and Monday? At worst, we had a new automatic sump pump installed last August, so it's ready to go if at all needed.
Hope you and yours have an enjoyable Friday and Weekend! Don't work too hard!
