We had a good Easter yesterday but the granddaughter had to work. I entertained the granddaughter by make masks from paper plates and piggy noses from paper cups. The Queen cooked up a ham while the granddaughter made perogies to go with it. Today I'll be able to have ham and eggs for breakfast. it sure beats left over turkey. I don't know how we got stuck with turkey as a special meal.
Abbey and me took our walk yesterday along the gopher trails. I think if I had worn the Queen's red slippers I'd have met the wizard. Gosh it was windy. Today doesn't look much better and the high of -1 isn't inviting. I wonder what happened to our record breaking high we had a few weeks ago. Maybe that was summer and we've moved ahead to autumn. :) Weather on the prairie must make the forecasters cringe.

Have a great day you two old farts....(that is MUSH and TONY)
Stay warm!
Nothing seems to beat the more traditional ham dinner on Easter Sunday or the wonderful leftovers following! I still am more partial, though, to the traditional turkey dinners of Thanksgiving. I could eat the white meat of turkey till it's coming out of my ears! LOL! Nevertheless, glad you, too, shared an enjoyable Easter holiday with some of your loved ones.
Weather-wise, we continue on high alert for fire hazards; especially, when those wind gusts your way having begun to descend on us today. Some gust could reach near 40 mph and could really fuel any sparks near the many wooded areas found in Mass. We continue to keep a wary eye out.
I, too, miss that surprising summery spell cast on us a couple of weeks ago. Can't wait till it becomes a more permanent fixture around here along with some much needed plentiful rainfall in between.
I type while trying not to scratch.
