Today will be mainly sunny with a high of -10C(14F).
Tonight will remain clear as the temp drops to a normal of -19C(-2F).

Yesterday I made a small batch of brownies. I guess today I'll have to make cookies again as the last batch has disappeared as have the brownies. Today I'm going to change the cookie recipe and make chocolate oatmeal cookies with small pieces of dried cherry. It will be a miniature black forest cake. :)but first I have to move snow. We never had much snow but with the wind it seems to collect n the driveway beside my house.
For Alley, yep that was Kramer in yesterdays blog. Since his 3 month excursion a few years back he's learned where to fill his tummy and never strays far from home but has become an outside cat and likes to go outdoors and look around. it's funny that he chooses to go out in the evening and we usually don't see him until morning when I let Abbey out for her morning chore. It's like a changing of shifts where Kramer comes in and Abey goes out.
For Shore I'll even post the recipe today for my butterscotch oatmeal cookies.

1 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 c. butter, soft
1/4 c. sugar
3 1/2 c. oatmeal
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 sm. pkg. , 4 serving, instant pudding (vanilla or any kind)
2 eggs
1 c. raisins (opt.)
Mix flour with baking soda. Combine butter, sugars and pudding in large bowl. Beat until smooth. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mix. Then stir in oats. (Batter will be stiff.) Drop by rounded teaspoons on ungreased sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
I used butterscotch pudding. MMMM
I had to leave out the raisins, none on hand.
My next batch will be with chocolate pudding mix and I'll substitute the raisin's with dried cherry chunks. I also used a tablespoon of dough, rolled onto balls and flattened between the palms. I thought a teaspoon would be too tiny but still ended up with 3 dozen cookies which are all gone.I also substituted and olive oil based margarine for the butter. I guess it's now a healthy snack with no cholesterol and fiber from the oatmeal
LOL I stole a page from Alley's book and posted a recipe.

Funny about Abbey and Kramer taking shifts. There's a song that has the line "bring in the dog, let out the cat" or vice-versa. I'll have to see if I can pull it out of the depths of my memory. (Or find it on google!)
Most cats like being outdoors at night as its their time to roam the neighbourhood in search for adventure and any females in heat...geeze sounds like typical men don't it....ROFLMBO I can just see them sitting at the "Kitty lounge" watching the ladies and making comments as to how nice that one's tail flicks as she walks by...etc etc etc...LOL
Well dear one temps are up at 45 at the moment, windy with lots of clear sky and sunshine. A good day to get some work done around here once I have my nap...LOL
Have a wonderful day dear one baking and just enjoying your day.
One of the most known early takes. Lots of folks played it.
I'll Go Stepping Too lyrics
(Tom James/Jerry Organ)
Don't think that I'll be hangin' 'round
While you're havin' fun
I won't sit there cryin' over you
Well from now on when you step out
I'll tell you what I'll do
I'll lock the door, put out the cat
And I'll go steppin' too
Yes I'll go steppin' too, my honey
I'll go steppin' too
I'll lock the door, put out the cat
And I'll go steppin' too
Now everytime you come in late and we begin to fight
You tell me there are more fish in the sea
But the bait ain't what it used to be
And I got news for you
Now after this when you go out
Well I'll go steppin' too
Yes I'll go steppin' too, my honey
I'll go steppin' too
I'll lock the door, put out the cat
And I'll go steppin' too
>From now on when you come in
And won't tell where you been
With your hair messed up
And your clothes don't fit you right
Well I don't care if I find perfume on you too
Well you will know that I have been
Steppin' just like you
Yes I'll go steppin' too, my honey
I'll go steppin' too
I'll lock the door, put out the cat
And I'll go steppin' too
